My solo program primarily features original compositions for guitar. These pieces have emerged over the years, each often telling its own story. The music reflects a wide range of moods and emotions — sometimes melancholic or graceful, at other times joyful, lively, or even quirky and playful.

South American elements such as Samba, Latin, and Bossa Nova blend with influences from modern folk. Characteristic features include memorable, lyrical melodies and jazzy harmonic progressions. In many pieces, rhythm also plays a central and defining role.

In concert, I perform on both classical guitar (with nylon strings) and steel-string acoustic guitar, offering a broader dynamic range and expressive possibilities.

In our duo with drummer Eric Karle, we perform exclusively my own original compositions – pieces that have evolved over many years and often tell their very own stories.

With his inventive and dynamic drumming, Eric brings a special kind of energy to our music. Thanks to his fine sense of dynamics, rhythmic precision, and groove, the pieces gain noticeable depth and expressive power.

Sometimes subtly supportive, sometimes driving with full force, he provides the pulse and sets well-placed accents that highlight the character of each piece – without ever overwhelming the sound.
